Bikkavolu Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple

This idol is a monolithic statue and is known as Vijayanand Ganapathi. It is said that this Idol is increasing year by year and measures 90 x 50 inches. It is believed to be installed during 849 AD - 892 AD by the Chalukya Kings of the eastern region. Devotees used to whisper their wish in the Lord's ear. This idol came out of the Earth while ploughing. In the year 1988 the then priest, Golapalli Chalapati Rao performed Laksha Patri Pooja and Ganapathi Homam on every Sukla Chaviti day and this continued for 10 years. Later this pooja process continued by their family members. Water comes out from the bottom portion of the left leg of the Lord.

Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple Bikkavolu is dedicated to Lord Vinayaka. The Main deity inside the temple is 7 feet tall. The Unique feature of this Idol is that trunk of the lord turned towards the right.
