Dolotsavam in Tirumala
Dolotsavam also called as Unjal Seva (Swing Festival)
In Dolotsavam ritual, the Idols of the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi are seated on the Unjal or Swing in the Aina Mahal (Addala Mandapam), that is the Mirror Hall, opposite the Ranganayaka Mandapam.
During Dolotsavam the entire area is lit with lamps. During this ritual, the priests chant vedas to the accompninment of the Mangala Vaadhyam or the sacred musical instruments.
